Paramount Developing Rainbow Six Movie

Big news for fans of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six book, Paramount who the rights to the Tom Clancy books have hired producer Akiva Goldsman to spear head a movie script for Rainbow Six.

Writer duo Josh Appelbaum & Andre Nemec behind Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot will write the adaptation. They’re currently working on the Beverly Hills reboot with Paramount.

According to deadline.com, unconfirmed sources say they are targeting Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds as Jack Ryan. They also claim if the movie is a success, the origin book Without Remorse will be greenlit.

The 1999 novel revolves around Ex-Navy SEAL Clark, who in the book is named head of an international task force to combat terrorism. The team quickly is confronted by a series of international incidents, making the real threat a group of terrorism bent on global destruction
