Just a little Something I put together

This sound fix should fix problems for people that are getting the distorted sounds.

Rainbow 6 vegas 2 Normal Install: DOWNLOAD

Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 for External Drives: DOWNLOAD
(what is this? This is if you have install Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 on another harddrive other than C: )

I understand why you dont trust a .EXE file from some one you dont know. So I put together the zipped ver. So you know whats in the .EXE. thumbsup.gif

Zipped Files: DOWNLOAD

Just replace the files in the appropriate folder.

Listed files in zipped file:

DARE.INI
eax.dll
BaseGame.ini
BaseEngine.ini
PCKellerEngine.ini
DefaultEngine.ini
PCEngine.ini

Where do they go?

DARE.INI
Go's to: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2\Binaries

eax.dll
Go's to: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2\Binaries

BaseGame.ini
Go's to: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2\Engine\Config

BaseEngine.ini
Go's to: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2\Engine\Config

PCEngine.ini
Go's to: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2\Engine\Config\PC

PCGame.ini
Go's to: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2\Engine\Config\PC

PCKellerEngine.ini
Go's to: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2\KellerGame\Config

DefaultEngine.ini
Go's to: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas 2\KellerGame\Config

PCEngine.ini

I played on line last night for the first time in a long time. 2 servers out of all I joined, I kept getting the continued sound of an automatic weapon firing. Actually had to leave and rejoin each time to get rid of it. Do not remember this before.

Does this fix work for this?

*EDIT*

LINK

Looks like a bug carried over from Vegas 1. ohmy.gif With no solution.

*Edit2* innocent.gif

I can state that this is only happening to me in high / no ping servers.

I have the same issue.
Just started up R6:VEGAS 2 again, (after having a massive HDD faluire with dataloss) and can't get my hands on the soundfix what worked before.
I can remember that this was the topic where I had downloaded the ONLY soundfix what was working for me, and now all links are dead.
Could anone hook me up with the zipped version?
I would be happy to re-upload it on my rapidshare account, to assure it'll not disappear again wink.gif
